Terms of sale
The terms of your purchase.
These terms apply whenever you buy from Second Mint. They're written to be read, so if anything is unclear, ask us before you buy.
Effective [TO CONFIRM: date legal review signs off]
01Who you're buying from
Second Mint is operated by [TO CONFIRM: legal entity name], [TO CONFIRM: registered business address, not a mailbox]. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean [TO CONFIRM: legal entity name].
02Prices and payment
Prices are in US dollars and are shown on each product page and at checkout. Sales tax is added where we're required to collect it, and shown before you pay.
Payment is taken by our payment provider, Stripe, when you place your order. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never reach our servers.
03Pricing errors
Surplus stock is priced by hand, and occasionally a price is wrong. If an item is listed at a price that is clearly an error, we may cancel the order for that item before it ships, even after payment has been taken. If we do, we'll tell you and refund what you paid for it in full.
04When your order is accepted
Placing an order is an offer to buy, and we accept it when we dispatch it. Until then we may cancel an order, for example if an item fails its final check before packing, and refund you in full.
05What you're buying
Our stock is surplus: open-box items, customer returns, overstock, items with damaged packaging, and items close to their expiry date. Each listing shows the item's condition grade, and our Returns & refunds policy defines what each grade means.
Product descriptions, ingredients, specifications and directions come from the manufacturer. We check them against the item, but we don't make claims about a product beyond what its manufacturer states.
06Medicines and supplements
Over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements are sold in their original sealed packaging. Read the label and follow the manufacturer's directions, and ask a doctor or pharmacist if you're unsure whether a product is right for you.
Statements about dietary supplements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. These products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
07Returns and shipping
Returns are covered by our Returns & refunds policy and delivery by our Shipping policy. Both form part of these terms.
08Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law. Beyond those rights, our liability for an order is limited to the amount you paid for it.
09Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [TO CONFIRM: governing state].
10Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published on the day you placed it, and the effective date at the top of this page says when it last changed.
